Underdogs opening in Italian Market

POSTED: Thursday, October 11, 2012, 9:19 AM

Less than eight months after debuting the hot-dog shop Underdogs in a subterranean storefront on 17th Street near Sansom, Robert Amar is ready to open location number two.

It goes live at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 12 at 1205 S. Ninth St., between Geno's Steaks and the new Tamalex II. It was O Sandwiches previously.

Same menu and concept as Center City. Opening hours will be 11 to 9; they'll eventually run later, to 11 a.m. or midnight during the week and till 4 ayem on Friday and Saturday nights.

Wasn't there a garage bar/restaurant supposed to be opening next to Gino's as well?

Yep, @Nightman. The Garage. On the other side of it. Still a bit to go.
