Trio crew going Mexican on Parkway

The duo from the Fairmount BYOB are hoping for an August rollout at 2601 Parkway.

Isabel will be a MexiCali BYOB opening in the old Coffee Room Cafe space at 2601 Pennsylvania Ave. (aka 2601 Parkway).

Poole says the space is a bit small but "super bright and beautiful with outstanding views of the Art Museum and the city." It will seat about 30, plus 16 to 24 on the sidewalk.

It will serve dinner first. Lunch will follow, and so will coffee/breakfast service.

Poole says the name is shared by Chau's oldest daughter and Poole's youngest niece.

"We actually almost went with Sausalito until someone showed me those Pepperidge Farm cookies that go by the same name," Poole says. "That totally ruined it for us."
