The700Level.com and SportsNet are a team

The regional sports source gives the homegrown blog a bigger platform.

The Philly-centric sports blog The 700 Level and Comcast SportsNet and its CSNphilly.com are partners.

As the blog announced this morning: The blog "will retain editorial independence, while tapping into the unique access, technology, and resources of Comcast SportsNet in Philadelphia."

"Plus, we get to call Philly sports gurus like Jim Salisbury, Tim Panaccio, and Ray Didinger co-workers. Ray Diddy!"

This will be a boon for Enrico Campitelli of Media, who finished his MBA from George Washington University recently and had been running the site from home.

Campitelli will become a Comcast employee, and in addition to the salary and Xfinity benefits, he will obtain access to the pro teams, which seldom give credentials to bloggers.

Sidekicks Matt Pesotski (who goes by "Matt P"), Andrew Kulp, and Andrew Unterberger are being brought in as contracted freelancers and can contribute elsewhere on CSNphilly.com.

Campitelli insists that he has been assured that he and his fellow bloggers could criticize the Comcast-owned Sixers and Flyers as "we see the need to."

In a statement, Rich Libero, Comcast SportsNet's vice president of digital media, said: "The700Level.com is already the best local blog in town because Enrico and his team have done a great job of building an authentic place for Philadelphia sports fans to gather, cheer and gripe. We will preserve the site's independence while investing in the technology that will make it an even more compelling destination."
