Having divested himself of his two Rosey's BBQ shops (in Jenkintown and Ambler), Chad Rosenthal is creating ... another BBQ restaurant.
Almost.
The menu at the Lucky Well - taking shape in the former Shanachie on Butler Avenue in downtown Ambler - will be based on comfort food prepared from scratch.
But yes, 'cue will be a big part of the deal. As will an enviable selection of whiskies.
Rosenthal says he's importing a smoker from Tennessee and six months in, he expects to have live music.
It's penciled in for a June opening.
Meanwhile nearby, On Tap Philly is about to replace Finn McCool's. Sad story there. Closed after a wall collapsed last year, the joint was preparing to reopen in January when co-owner Joseph Canazaro was killed in a home invasion.
