Enjoying a soft opening: The Corner Foodery (1710-12 Sansom St., 215-567-1500), an industrial-meets-Deco melding of The Corner on 13th Street and the various Foodery beer shops.

Tony Rim and chef John Taus have installed an enviable wall of beer cases - and the count, says beer director Kyle Sebring, is now at 500 bottles.

You order sandwiches and other easy fare at the back counter, order one of six draft beers, and sit in a cozy space beneath posters; there's booth seating and a communal table.

Taus eventuallly will be doing his own charcuterie, but for now I just spotted a few things, including an awesome porchetta ready for slicing. Meatballs are also a specialty, as is the chicken Parm sandwich on Carangi roll dubbed "Drew Milstein" - named after their deep-pocketed investor.
