TV crew here to seek bacon fans

Another day, another TV food crew in town.

Thursday's lunchtime will find the Destination America channel (Discovery) at Jake's Sandwich Board (122 S. 12th St.) to shoot an episode of United States of Bacon.

Host Todd Fisher will eat Jake's Turbacon sandwich, a wholly unheathful creation that incorporates turkey, bacon, cranberry-apple spread, brown gravy, and potato pancakes.

Those who show up at Jake's from noon to 2 p.m. will be asked to become extras or talk on camera. Anyone who orders a Turbacon during lunch on Thursday will receive his or her choice of free fries or fountain soda.
