On April 21 from 6 to 8 p.m., Tanaka and his chef de cuisine Phila Lorn will participate in the guest chefs series at Pat's King of Steaks at Ninth Street and Passyunk Avenue.

Usually when you say "roll" to "Zama" Tanaka, you're referring to one of the creations at his Japanese restaurants Zama in Rittenhouse and coZara in University City.

On April 21 from 6 to 8 p.m., Tanaka and his chef de cuisine Phila Lorn will participate in the guest chefs series at Pat's King of Steaks at Ninth Street and Passyunk Avenue.

In this case, they'll be cooking for charity, and there will be Italian rolls on hand.

The featured charity will be PAWS, which will have adoptable animals on-site.

Tanaka and Lorn will make what is called a Paws Cheesesteak, selling for $10 each. It includes red miso-marinated ribeye cheesesteak, Japanese herbs (mitsuba or parsley/myoga or ginger/kaiware or radish sprout), wild mushrooms (shitake, crimini, maitake), a choice of Cheese Wiz or provolone, and Zama hot sauce (green sriracha).

You can get it wit' or wit'out teriyaki caramelized onions.

Fries ($6) will be topped with Japanese mayo, wasabi furiyake and katsuboshi.
