Susan Barnett has a Twitter impostor

"@SusanCBS3" is not the news anchor.

Susan Barnett has a Twitter impostor

The real Susan Barnett
The real Susan Barnett

Susan Barnett is not on Twitter, folks.

But someone using the handle @SusanCBS3 on Twitter is impersonating the CBS3 anchor, sending out news advisories, retweeting CBS News briefs, and reaching out to people, including station alumni Larry Mendte and Alycia Lane with (albeit benign) messages.

The impostor's Twitter page certainly looks legit, as it contains her photo and a link to Barnett's real Facebook page.

Her on-air partner Chris May @chrismayphilly) early this morning set the record straight for the benefit of his followers. (Yes, that really is May.)

A station spokeswoman confirmed that Barnett is active on Facebook but does not tweet, and added that Barnett had filed an impersonation report with Twitter.
