Suppa branching out with Samwich in Bella Vista
Samwich, playing off the sandwich section of their menu, will occupy the former Square Pie and Blue Belly BBQ corner spot at Sixth and Catharine Streets.
Angelo Polito and Georgeann Leaming, who opened the sweet bruncherie Suppa in Liberties Walk in Northern Liberties nearly two years ago, are branching out to the edge of Bella Vista with a new spot.
Samwich, playing off the name of the sandwich section of their menu, will occupy the former Square Pie and Blue Belly BBQ corner spot at Sixth and Catharine Streets. (Square Pie moved into the former Cochon across the way at Catharine and Passyunk.)
Leaming says the scratch-based Samwich will be based on sandwiches, with salads and soups. Though focused on takeout and delivery, there will be some seating.
Suppa is about to begin delivery through Caviar.
Samwich will deliver through Caviar when it opens in December.
