Stocking up for Diner En Blanc

Diner en Blanc 2012

Part of the fun of Diner En Blanc - the pop-up picnic - is the hunt for tables, linens, food and white accessories.

Organizers of the Philly event are planning a get-together from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 7 at the Williams-Sonoma store at the Bellevue (Broad and Walnut Streets).

It's a good chance to ask fellow attendees about folding chairs and tables, which you'll have to bring along on Aug. 22 to an undisclosed location

Among the vendors will be:

Garces Catering- Pastry Chef Jessica Mogardo will be do a demo

DiBruno Bros. - Sampling cheese plates and cheesemonger Hunter Fike will sign copies of the new book, House of Cheese

Touche Accessories - Displaying an assortment of white fascinators, gloves, hats, etc

Arway Linens - Selling linen packages (54” and 70” square)

Flowers & Co. - Displaying and taking orders for floral arrangements for the event.
