The Varallos competed against reps of neighborhood-style Italian restaurants E’Tutto Qua from San Francisco and Benito One from New York City.
Pesto Ristorante's Giovanni "John" Varallo and his daughter Maria won a "Little Italy Showdown" on the Rachael Ray Show on Monday, Oct. 26 with their cavatelli topped with lobster, crab, and shrimp and served in a rose blush sauce.
The Varallos competed against reps of neighborhood-style Italian restaurants E'Tutto Qua from San Francisco and Benito One from New York City.
The Varallos, who won bragging rights, will sell a lot of the dish at their old-school restaurant across from St. Agnes at 1915 S. Broad St.
It's delicious and a great value. For $26, you get dinner that night plus a couple of lunches out of it.
