The new shop in Collingswood sets its date.

When will South Jersey get its Krispy Kreme?

Circle "Aug. 23" -- glaze it, even -- on your calendar.

That's the date set for the opening of the region's third Krispy Kreme shop, in the former KFC at Haddon Avenue and Cuthbert Boulevard on Collingswood's border with Haddon Township, according to franchisee Brian Zaslow.

Opening days generate lines as devotees seek free doughnuts.

The other two Philly locations are at 7855 Oxford Ave. in Northeast Philly and 16th Street near Chestnut in Center City.

Also in the doughnut world, Ambler Donuts, complete with drive-thru, opened recently at Bethlehem and Butler Pikes in Ambler.
