Something new in Point Breeze
A longtime corner bar is closing.
Looks like a new bar-restaurant is on tap for Point Breeze.
Burg's Lounge, the tidy little shot-and-beer that has held down 21st and Federal Streets for 35 years, is winding down, confirms owner Ralph Burger.
"The time is right for me now," he told me.
The buyers are keeping a low profile, possibly because they may simply be speculators looking for a flip or because they are not quite ready to face the neighbors (see Sardine Bar, American).
