Teddy Sourias, who owns Finn McCool's and Prime Lounge at 12th and Sansom Streets, is working on a beer garden - name not set - at 1318-20 Chestnut St., the former Mitchell & Ness store. He has an architect and designer lined up, and goes before the Washington Square West Civic Association to discuss it all on Tuesday.
Gretchen Fantini of Sweet Box Cupcakes - competing again Saturday in the Vendy Awards - is about a month and a half from going the brick-and-mortar route. She will supplement the truck with Sweet Box Bake Shop at 339 S. 13th St. (the corner of 13th and Panama).
