Sansom Kabob House is moving

OK, branding experts:

What do you do if you're Hamed Hahsy, who owns Sansom Kabob House downstairs at 1526 Sansom St. ?

Thirteen years, solid business, but the building needs work, he said. (Old-timers may remember the space as Charlie's Water Wheel.)

Hahsy is moving Sansom Kabob House to 1300 South St.

Last day on Sansom Street will be Sept. 30. He's hoping to open on South Street - in a larger, street-level spot - in October.

As for the question: What will he call his new place?

Hahsy said he'll keep the name, which will explain why there's a "Sansom" on South Street.

The spot is across from the future Big Gay Ice Cream shop and Kevin Sbraga's new Juniper Commons.
