Keating's Rope & Anchor: New on Penn's Landing

Without succumbing to nautical tackiness, designer Floss Barber brightened the interior considerably and added a 80-seat private dining room.

The transition from Hyatt to Hilton hotel brands on Penn's Landing has yielded a top-to-bottom change in dining.

Patio dining, next to Spruce Street Harbor Park, has been stepped up - a simple matter of lowering rails to permit better river views. There's also live music Thursday to Saturday evenings.

Executive chef George Gilfesis oversees wide-ranging menus designed for the dining room, the lounge, and the patio. Bar has 10 beers on tap, plus wines and cocktails.

It's open daily for breakfast, lunch, dinner, light bites, and cocktails.
