Rick's Steaks, ousted from Reading Terminal Market in October after running afoul of the market's board, is under construction at the downstairs food court at the Bellevue.

Owner Rick Olivieri (left) confirms that he's signed the lease for the former La Cucina at the bottom of the escalator. He says he expects to fire up the grills in six to eight weeks.

Staff will join him. "They're incredibly loyal and have been with me an average of 15 to 17 years," Olivieri told me.

The menu at the Bellevue will be the same, though he will add soups and breakfast sandwiches.

Here are two previous stories about Rick's ouster from the market:

The Bellevue food court is not that great. It'll be nice to have a decent cheese steak spot down there.

"You are taking away my freedom of speech." Um, no, only the government can infringe on your freedom of speech. The Inquirer can censor you all they want.
