Restaurants for Moorestown Mall?

With historically dry Moorestown approving the issuance of four liquor licenses to Moorestown Mall, the next question: Which restaurants will take them?

Marc Vetri, who had been publicly courted last year by mall operator Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust, says he is still in negotiations. After signing a letter of intent last fall, Vetri told me he was teeing up a scaled-down version of Osteria for the mall.

Other operators - mainly chains - are in talks with PREIT, including Cheesecake Factory, which opened a Grand Luxe Cafe at PREIT's Cherry Hill Mall earlier this summer.

So the survival of this Mall depended on places like the Cheesecake Factory? Blecch.

Not everyone can afford to eat at Vetri restaurants or other upscale eateries. While I'm not a fan of Cheesecake Factory, I realize it has its purpose (affordability, family friendly, etc.)

If I see another Cheesecake Factory being built, I'm gonna barf. Oh, wait...they're building one at the Quakerbridge Mall near my home! Excuse me a moment......
