Restaurant notes: Tops in Chinese
A trade publication names Yangming the No. 1 in the U.S.
If restaurateur Michael Wei feels a bit taller, it's because Chinese Restaurant News, a trade publication, has named his Bryn Mawr restaurant, Yangming, the number-one overall Chinese restaurant in the United States.
Morrisville's Concerto Fusion Cuisine (2 S. Delmorr Ave., Morrisville) was ranked 5th.
Also winners at the Top 100 Chinese Restaurant Awards, given out last weekend in San Francisco, were Joy Tsin Lau (1026 Race St., #16), Wok (1613 Walnut St., #28), and HK Golden Phoenix (911 Race St., #79).
In the "specialty" category, cited were New Yong's Village (700 Haddonfield Berlin Rd., Voorhees), Lucky Star Chinese Restaurant (8919 Ridge Ave.), and Wave Noodle House (316 E. Gay St., West Chester).
Top takeouts included China King (401 North Haddon Ave., Haddonfield) and Best Food In Town (900 12th St., Hammonton).
Top buffets included New Super King Buffet (40-44 Snyder Ave.).
"Local favorites" include Ying Hui (303 Route 130, Bordentown), China House (565 N. Evergreen Ave., Woodbury), Hong Kong Gourmet (800 Bustleton Pike, Richboro), Sang Kee Peking Duck House (238 N. Ninth St.).
Under "healthy menus," there's Kingdom of Vegetarians (129 N. 11th St.), China Wok (333 W. Broad St., Quakertown), Rising Sun (102 E. Wyoming Ave.), Jade Island (1380 Easton Rd., Warrington), Su Xing House (1508 Sansom St.), and Golden Dragon (3212 N. Broad St.).
Under "best value," listed were Royal Asian Cuisine (500 Chesterbrook Blvd.), Szechuan Hunan (274 S. 20th St.), China Rainbow (7217 Torresdale Ave.), Ruby (7140 Ridge Ave.), Hongkong Kitchen (549 S.
