Restaurant notes: John Brandt-Lee preps Downingtown digs

John Brandt-Lee, chef-owner of Avalon in West Chester (see Craig LaBan's review), is about three or four weeks from opening Avalon Pasta Bistro in Downingtown.

In this video, shot by Robert Brandon Bailey, Brandt-Lee talks about his new restaurant, and how it will differ from the West Chester location.

Here's my initial blurb on the new location, which clearly missed his April 18 target. At least he streamlined the name.
