Plenty - the upmarket quick-serve sandwich shop-slash-coffee bar from East Passyunk Avenue - is coming to Rittenhouse.

Owner Anthony Mascieri told me that the location is 1602 Spruce St. - last a jewelry store.

It's due to open in March.

What is Rittenhouse? Rittenhouse Square? No one raised in center city refers to the neighborhood as Rittenhouse.

Rittenhouse is now a neighborhood like it or not. Borders are Broad to 22nd and Pine to Walnut. Yep!

Geez, you really get upset at someone calling the neighborhood Rittenhouse instead of Rittenhouse Square?
Maybe you need to get out of town a bit.

Unfortunately that corner is possibly the smelliest in the entire city! Hopefully some good food will improve the stench rising from underground.

Hope it's good. We need stores like this in the area. This city offers nothing.

That is not Rittenhouse Square, by any stretch.
On the other hand, Burger.org is about to expand, cover that.
