Mason Wartman, a Germantown Academy grad who left for a finance career in New York, is coming back to open a pizzeria near Thomas Jefferson University Hospital.

Rosa's Fresh Pizza, named in honor of his mother, is set for a September opening at 25 S. 11th St.

Wartman tells me that it will sell pizza and only pizza - no sandwiches - and unlike many pizzerias will not leave pies sitting out. He intends to bake continuously.
