Pizza Olympics winners are announced

The South Philly Review's judges must have been baking their decisions in an oven or something.

A week after its fifth Pizza Olympics (held at Penns Landing Caterers), the paper has announced its winners. With about a dozen participants and seven categories, just about everyone was a winner.

But SLiCE came up biggest.

Results are:

Crust

2nd: Santucci’s Original Square Pizza, 901 S. 10th St.

3rd: Chickie’s & Pete’s, 1526 Packer Ave.

 

Veggie

1st: Powelton Pizza, 3536 Lancaster Ave.

3rd: Lanci Bakery, 1716 Jackson St.

 

Sicilian/Square

1st: Bianca Pizza and Trattoria, 514 South St.
