No one ever told Larry Platt that editing Philadelphia Magazine would be easy...

Joy Manning left the food critic's job with the May issue to take the editor's job at TastingTable.com, and Ashley Primis gave notice last week that she was leaving to become special projects director for Starr Restaurant Organization.

Pow.

Platt says he just hired Kirsten Henri, Grub Street's Philadelphia editor, to be food editor. She starts April 21.

Former staffer Ben Wallace will handle reviews for June and possibly July, until Henri hires a permanent reviewer.

Michael - Should have threw your hat in the ring for the gig! Things are still shaky at 400 N. Broad!

I'm quite happy doing what I'm doing, but thanks.

Does anyone actually read Philadelphia Magazine anymore? Remember when they wrote great, investigative pieces about the city instead of page after page of $6 million Margate mansions and $2,000 Haddonfield handbags? Bring back Maury Z. Levy!
