Phillies and CBS extend their radio deal

It's probably for an additional year.

CBS and the Phillies have locked in their radio deal again.

You may recall that last October, the two parties added a one-year extension to a five-year contract.

Last year's timing was propitious for both sides: The Phillies were battling in the postseason and CBS rival Greater Media had just signed on with its FM sports-talk station at 97.5, an ESPN affiliate.

ESPN has rights to postseason play, which is how 97.5 the Fanatic gets to air the Phillies playoff games on FM.

CBS and the Phillies did not release the length of the conract extension, but it's probably for an additional year.
