Personnel: Honey's hires Judy's alumna; Wentz has a GM

Donna Robb is working at Honey's. Lauren Harris has joined Townsend Wentz's project.

The new chef at Honey's Sit N Eat at 21st and South Streets isn't new to the Philly dining public.

She's Donna Robb, who was chef way back when at the late, great Judy's Cafe (then at Third and Bainbridge Streets). Robb went on to Penne in University City before setting out to co-own Cresheim Cottage Cafe in Mount Airy.

Also in the personnel files: Townsend Wentz is still looking for a name for his French-influenced restaurant coming to 1623 E. Passyunk Ave. But at least he has his general manager/sommelier.

She's Lauren Harris, also an alum of McCrossen's Tavern. Previously, Wentz told me, she ran the beverage program at Twenty21, ran the Tria Wine School, was sommelier at Astral in Sydney, Australia, and managed Tria Wine Bar.

"Her wine selections set her apart: favoring unique varietals and flavor profiles, they're often drawn from small producers dedicated to quality," Wentz said. "Having worked together for over five years, we share the same vision for the guest."

The restaurant is expected to open this spring.
