Four tasty new options at Penn

Coffee, salads, veggie bowls, Montreal-style bagels. A great time to be a Quaker.

There's a flurry of casual dining on the way to the University of Pennsylvania campus.

To wrap 'em up:

Saxbys is reopening its coffee location at 40th and Locust Streets on Monday, Nov. 9. In short, the company bought up this franchise-owned location, blew it up, redesigned it, and put it together again. Improvements include increased seating, custom millwork, and a gallery space to be curated by Penn fine-arts students. Free drip coffee and cold brew iced coffee will be served all opening day, and the company has unveiled a "Philly Snack Box," featuring local products including Nuts About Granola, Mavuno Harvest dried fruit, Lawless Jerky, and a cobranded
chocolate bar from Tradestone Confectioner's made with Saxbys ground espresso beans, which will be exclusively available at Saxbys UPenn and select Center City Saxbys cafés.

Honeygrow - the custom salad/stir fry/smoothie specialist, will open its spot at 3731 Walnut St. - in the former Campus Copy space, across from Wharton - on Monday, Nov. 16. This location will showcase the work of Philly photographer Conrad Benner, who was commissioned to capture West Philly through his @streetsdept iPhone lens. The interior design features reclaimed wood: stool tops by Fab Dubrunfaut from North Philly and custom-made tables by Philadelphia Woodcraft from Fishtown.

Beefsteak - a veggie-focused eatery from chef Jose Andres - is looking at "early 2016" at Houston Hall (3417 Spruce St.), across from Wharton.

Spread Bagelry is building out a larger location at 36th and Chestnut Streets. It will have outdoor dining and a bar, and is expected in "early 2016."
