Out of the frying pan and back into the limelight.

Out of the frying pan and back into the limelight, TV food queen Paula Deen will headline the Philadelphia Festival of Food, Wine and Spirits, to be held Oct. 16-18 at Valley Forge Casino Resort.

At the casino in King of Prussia, Deen will do two cooking demonstrations - at 1 and 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17 - with recipes taken from her new book, Paula Deen Cuts the Fat. The 1 p.m. stage show ($50, including admission to the festival) runs an hour, while the 3 p.m. show ($65, including festival admission) is set up as a party at the casino's Valley Beach Poolside Club.

Also due to appear at the festival are assorted chefs (schedule here), including Top Chef winner Nicholas Elmi; Nicole Gaffney, a finalist on Next Food Network Star; Ashley Sherman, from Hell's Kitchen season 13; Ron Duprat, a competitor on Top Chef; caterer Barbie Marshall, and Glenn Gross, owner of Fat Jack's BBQ.

Also at the festival will be a first look at LP Steak, the forthcoming chophouse by chef Luke Palladino.
