Erika Christensen has been cast as the mom in the NBC pilot of Parenthood, the Hollywood Reporter says. Her credits include the film Traffic (she played the drug czar's teen daughter) and the ABC series Six Degrees (she played Mae).

The Parenthood pilot will be shot in Philly.

The Reporter says Christensen -- she's 26 -- will play Julia Braverman, "a go-getting corporate attorney having trouble jumping off the fast track and becoming more involved with her family."
