Now open: West Side Gravy

Alex Capasso has branched out from his Blackbird Dining Establishment to open the ultra-casual West Side Gravy a mile away in Collingswood's old Woolworth's store (714 Haddon Ave., 856-858-7153).

It joins such destinations on the block as Nunzio's, Tortilla Press, El Sitio, and the Pop Shop.

Environs take the cue from the Woolworth's -- it's wide open with a white-painted stamped-tin ceiling, mod paintings, and retro Formica tables. A few choice tables in the window are perched on a platform.

Comfort-food menu, pieced together on one handy side, is here.

It's lunch only for now. Dinner will start in a few weeks.
