Now open: La Colombe in Bryn Mawr

La Colombe has set up inside a former garage at the new Bryn Mawr Village (Lancaster Avenue just west of Merion Avenue).

Fishtown-based java giant La Colombe may be open in four cities plus Philadelphia, but June 13 marks its entry to the suburbs.

It's now on the Main Line.

La Colombe has set up inside a former garage at the new Bryn Mawr Village (Lancaster Avenue just west of Merion Avenue).

Also due in the mixed-use development are branches of the healthful quick-serve Bryn & Dane's and the Italian wine bar Tredici (the project had been announced as a branch of Zavino, but Greg Dodge - who owns both - changed course).

La Colombe (915 W. Lancaster Ave.) features a coffee bar, plus a food menu whose items are being made in Fishtown, including an egg sandwich, onion tart, pastrami croissant, salads, and a hummus platter.

Hours are 6:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays, 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekends.
