East Falls gets a cafe from the Revolution Tacos crew

The Mill's Cafe (3510 Scotts Lane, 267-391-7539) bases its menu on meats prepared in-house (which go into a dry-aged beef burger), locally grown vegetables, and seasonal ingredients.

Chefs Mike Sultan and Carolyn Nguyen, who own Rittenhouse's Revolution Taco as well as a small food-truck and catering empire, have opened a cafe next to their commissary in East Falls' Sherman Mills development.

The Mill's Cafe (3510 Scotts Lane, 267-391-7539) bases its menu on meats prepared in-house (which go into a dry-aged beef burger), locally grown vegetables, and seasonal ingredients. The salted fudge chocolate brownies sold at Revolution Taco are available, as is Sultan's signature smoked salmon.

Sultan and Nguyen are using the cafe as a test ground for new dishes before they hit the trucks (Say Cheese Philadelphia, Street Food Philly and Taco Mondo) and Revolution Taco.

Simple decor includes artwork the neighboring Fresh Artists, a vintage grocery store coffee roaster, and seating for 10.

It's open 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday to Friday.
