Calexico - a New York City food truck/restaurant specializing in California-style Mexican fare - is building out at 1600 South St., and it hopes to open in January or February 2014.

At the time of that news, there were hints of a second Philly location.

Next week, franchisee Anthony Fauci says he will sign a lease for 100 E. Girard Ave. in Fishtown. This is the site of Penn Treaty Market, at the busy corner of Frankford and Girard Avenues - across from the Wells Fargo Bank and Johnny Brenda's.

Fauci's 917 area code will be in good company with other nearby New York transplants, including Barcade and Fette Sau.
