The shuttered Timber Wood-Fired Grill at 1301 Old York Rd., across from Abington Memorial Hospital, will become a Mexican cantina called Señor Salsa.

Victor and Vicky Perez, partners in the Las Margaritas restaurants in Northeast Philadelphia and Southampton, are behind the project, which will have a small bar, as Timber had.

The Perezes are aiming for a late-spring opening.

The building, first known as Jesse's Ranch House, was the Inn Flight for many years.
