Caleb Lentchner, former longtime executive chef and general manager of Marsha Brown's in New Hope, is taking over Waterlilies near Peddler's Village (5738 Route 202 in Lahaska, Bucks County).
Caleb’s American Kitchen, a BYO specializing in local and regional American cooking, is expected to be ready by the end of September. It will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. For now, the restaurant is operating as Waterlilies.
Lentchner's menu will include steaks, burgers, lobster, shellfish, creole, California and local produce in season.
Since his daughter was diagnosed with celiac disease a few years ago, he will offer gluten-free bread for every burger and sandwich. Several items, such as the Johnny Cakes for breakfast and the Baja Fish Tacos for lunch, are gluten-free, and the restaurant will offer vegan and paleo dishes.
