Win and Sutida Somboonsong, who own Newtown Square's Teikoku and Mikado, Thai Pepper in Ardmore, Flavor in Wayne and Azie in Media, are about to sign to take over the second floor of Maia, the recently closed food complex off the Blue Route in Villanova.

The concept will be reminiscent of Azie, a pan-Asian. It will have a "full-on" sushi bar, a rep for the couple told me.

The Somboonsongs also are working on Parker's Prime, a steakhouse at the former Roux 3 in Newtown Square.

I hope the lease doesn't extend past a year's time. Maia lasted less than a year; Fresh Grocer less than six months!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
