Jenkintown fixture West Ave Grille has given up plans to move around the corner from its longtime home on West Avenue into the long-shuttered former home of Buca di Beppo on Old York Road, across from the Drake.

Owner Bob Katz said that after months of planning, he and his family decided that the location would be too large and impersonal.

He said he would reup his lease, sell the liquor license and convert the bar area into private party space.

That way, he explained, the Jenkintown location would be BYOB, just as are the locations in Southampton and Dresher.
