Lamberti's has closed its family-style Italian yearling, Italyani, on Route 38 out Mount Holly way in Lumberton, N.J.

It opened last November.

The concept was fairly simple. In addition to an a la carte menu, there was a budget package deal: choice of salad, pasta fagioli or soup of the day; entree; and bottle of wine, and the total tab for two people was $35 or $40, depending on the day.

A Lamberti's rep says gift cards can be used at other Lamberti's restaurants.
