Isabella in Conshohocken closes

A buyer is waiting in the wings.

Isabella, the Mediterranean bar tucked into rowhouse Conshohocken, has closed after 5½ years.

Owner Tom Richter, who built the place,  said in a phone chat that he had been winding things down for a while while he arranged a potential buyer, whom he declined to name.

Isabella was known as much for its menu (augemented by an outdoor pizza oven) as for its chef changes. No fewer than four people held the title since the late-2010 opening.

The shutdown was noted on the Conshy blog MoreThantheCurve.com

Stay tuned.
