It just took a phone call from new Le Bec-Fin owner Nicolas Fanucci and a 24-hour flying visit to Philadelphia for San Franciscans Walter Abrams and Jennifer Smith to agree to become executive chef and pastry chef, respectively. The landmark restaurant will reopen June 12; reservations: 215-567-1000.

The couple - who met at the French Laundry in Yountville, Calif., and were engaged three weeks ago - are house-hunting.
