Hot items in Great Chefs auction

Marc Vetri and crew have trips, meals and a garden tour.

Marc Vetri and company are throwing another Great Chefs Event on Tuesday, June 11 at the Navy Yard headquarters of Urban Outfitters. It's sold out.

The fundraiser typically brings in $1 million for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation and the Vetri Foundation for Children.

This year's batch of auction items is impressive. The live auction - to be held that night - will include a meal at Vetri for six guests with Tom Colicchio and "A Place at the Table" director Lori Silverbush; a culinary trip to Venice and Bergamo with Vetri and chef Jeff Michaud; a "Sbraga/DeBragga" lunch for eight at DeBragga prepared by Kevin Sbraga; a barbecue for 30 people catered by Percy Street; and a takeover of the forthcoming Pizzeria Vetri by James Beard Award-winning chef Chris Bianco for 25 people.

Bidding is on right now for a bunch of other great experiences, including a visit by Vetri's pop, Sal, and chef Brad Spence, who will cook an Italian American meal in your home for eight to 10 guests; a day with Vetri's sister, Montgomery County DA Risa Vetri Ferman; and a meal with Inquirer critic Craig LaBan.
