Meanwhile, the fast-casual restaurant - whose stir-fries, salads and smoothies are ordered on the niftiest touch-screen system around - has picked up a $5 million investment led by Miller Investment Management. (Original investor Brook Lenfest participated in this round of funding.)

Honeygrow will use the money to expand, step up technology and develop its management team.

Honeygrow started in 2012 at 110 S. 16th St. in Center City Philadelphia and expanded last year to 169 E. City Ave. in Bala Cynwyd. Another location is due to open by year's end in Ellisburg Circle Shopping Center in Cherry Hill.

It's also shopping for space in Center City, University City, and New York City.
