Flavortown comes to Chester as Guy Fieri opens restaurant at Harrah's
Guy Fieri’s Philly Kitchen & Bar is over the top.
Perhaps the food will be "off the Marcus Hook," as one wag cheekily opined last month when I mentioned the impending opening of Guy Fieri's Philly Kitchen & Bar at Harrah's casino in Chester.
The restaurant - premiering Wednesday, Nov. 9 - is part of a large renovation that will include The Market, a grab-and-go food option, and the immediate area's first and only Starbucks.
Fieri, the Diners, Drive-Ins & Dives' TV showman, also has his name attached to Guy Fieri's Chophouse at Bally's in Atlantic City. He is not expected to attend the Chester restaurant's opening.
The Harrah's folks promise "robust, bold-flavored dishes and signature, over-the-top culinary creations" such as a bacon mac-and-cheese burger, as well as a smoked cheesesteak and roast pork & broccoli rabe sandwich with Italian sweet peppers, a house-made pastrami Reuben, and desserts including his dark chocolate whiskey cake. Specialty cocktails – including a caliente margarita, Austin sweet tea, and tattooed mojito are on the drink list, aslong with 12 local craft beers.
