8 great food and drink deals for Election Day

Custard, coffee, beer...

Election Day 2016 brings out the specials.

Walk up to the counter at any Shake Shack location. Ask for a free custard. It's yours. Say please and thank you.

World of Beer, which opened in Exton last spring, will charge $1 for your first beer.

Flash your "I voted" sticker at Girard, the bruncherie at Girard Avenue and Marlborough Street in Fishtown, and you're in for a comp coffee.

That same "I voted" sticker, when shown at Krispy Kreme, is good for a free doughnut.

7-Eleven will sell you a cup of coffee for $1 if you use its app.

&pizza, which just opened a location on 15th Street south of Walnut, is giving away soda for the asking.

California Tortilla gives out free small orders of chips and queso with any purchase. Simply say the password "I'm with queso," "Make queso great again," or "I vote for queso."

Bob Evans restaurants will give you 30 percent off your meal after 2 p.m. with this coupon.

There's also a deal for Starr Restaurant employees: the power of voting. Founder Stephen Starr issued this memo: "It is my direction to allow every employee the ability to take the time to vote if he or she cannot do so before or after their shift. Anyone who needs to leave work for a reasonable amount of time should be permitted to take this time. Allow them to do so without having to clock out."
