Georges' on Main Line giving way to Peppercorn
Peppercorn will focus on "elevated regional American cuisine, high-level service, in an approachable elegant atmosphere."
Georges' in the Eagle Shops in Wayne (503 W. Lancaster Ave.) closed last week after a dozen years, but the prime space won't be quiet for long.
Herb and Karen Lotman, who'd been partners in Georges' with founder Georges Perrier, are going their own way with a modern-upscale spot called Peppercorn.
They say Peppercorn will focus on "elevated regional American cuisine, high-level service, in an approachable elegant atmosphere."
I'm told that price points will vary because the menu is large and reflects the restaurant's multiple dining settings: bar area, lounge area, chefs table, garden dining room and patio, and main dining room. That covers drop-in to destination.
It's expected to open at the end of the month following redecoration and kitchen renovation.
