Now open: Distrito in Moorestown

Tuesday, July 8 marked the debut of Distrito at Moorestown Mall (400 Route 38, 856-252-0300) - Jose Garces' fourth location of his signature Mexican. It's across the Route 38 entranceway from the new Osteria.

Menu at the 200-seater is largely the same as the one at the flagship in University City: guac, tacos, enchiladas, huaraches and the like, with the addition of fajitas. Portions are a touch larger at this location. As at other locations, the $45 tasting menu is a steal; for $25 more, they pair tequilas with it.

The interior by dash design is reminiscent of the original - wrestling masks fill a wall, bold colors accented with muted color throughout - though it's on one level. A fireplace "floats" in the center of the dining room. Private dining room's entrance is framed in floor-to-ceiling cabinets for tequila.

The bar, topped by a movie theater-like marquee, runs in the center, along the glass doors opening up onto the enclosed outdoor patio. Count on 100 tequilas and mezcals, and drink prices that are lower than in Philadelphia.

Dinner 5 to 10 p.m. daily (happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. weekdays). Weekend brunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
