Bob DeBlois, the former general sales manager who led 950 from to oldies to sports, was relieved of his command Friday, and is expected to clean out his desk at One Bala on Monday. It's not clear what direction the station will take -- mixing local and ESPN programming or simply going all-ESPN.

Representatives of station owner Greater Media did not return calls and emails over the weekend.

FINALLY!! They have screwed this up from the very beginning. Gotta love that Saturday and Sunday morning sports programming! Or is that real estate or something.

Just a textbook case of, Let's put it on a bigger signal to improve the results, but sometimes bigger isn't better if the initial product is weak. That happened in Providence when the 990 up there tried to go after the 2 established talkers by dint of having a 50 kW daytime signal. They got their heads handed to them. Station wnt dark for awhile and and is now trying a hand at Spanish tropical.
