Put down your knife and fork: Girasole is not opening today. The Iovinos are having some sort of opening cocktail party tonight at their new digs on the Pine Street side of the Symphony House (next to Du Jour, at 440 S. Broad St.). The opening, though, won't be till Wednesday. Or at least that's what they told me yesterday. Could be Thursday. They have a few wrinkles to iron out. The place is small (45 seats) and sunny bright, with deep, cushy bronze banquettes.

Ken Shin Asian Diner is looking at a mid-April opening on the northwest corner of Third and Spring Garden, across from Finnigan's Wake. Owner Kenny Poon -- he's a friend but not a blood relative of Joe Poon -- is partners with his brother Shin on this BYOB, which will combine Chinese, Vietnamese and Japanese cuisines (think Pei Wei) in a high-energy atmosphere.

Table 31 chef/co-owner Chris Scarduzio, seeking to kill a rumor he's been hearing, says he is not and will not offer takeout and delivery at the Italian steakhouse. But Plaza Cafe, which he operates outside of T31 beside the fountains on the Comcast Center's plaza, will offer a to-go menu when it opens for the season next Friday, on the first day of spring. Plaza Cafe also will offer delivery of large orders (as caterers such as Marathon Grill and Di Bruno Bros.).
