Burger giveaway at a Thai restaurant

A Thai restaurant is giving away burgers Friday.

(Am I serious? Yes, Siam.)

Alex Boonphaya, chef-owner of Circles, is launching a lunch menu at his Northern Liberties location on Friday, May 31 by offering free burgers between noon and 2 p.m. 

The new menu features a variety of Thai options plus Latin-inspired dishes, including nachos, ceviche, a taco and a burrito.

In addition to the lunch menu, Circles - on Second Street between Brown and Poplar - has widened its delivery coverage north to Lehigh Avenue, south to Snyder Avenue and west to 40th Street.

Here’s the full menu:

  • Lamb Massaman Nan Flatbread Pizza topped with Queso Fresco and Chopped Cilantro - 9
  • Thai Massaman Lamb Nachos with Fresh Tomato Salad with Lime Dressing, Black Beans, Sour Cream, topped with melted American Cheese - 12
  • Grilled Peninsula Shrimp Marinated with Cilantro, Garlic, Lime & Dried Chili Flakes. Served with a Spicy Red Sauce with Sticky Rice and Crabmeat topped with a Tomato Salad - 12
  • Red Snapper Ceviche with Marinated Watermelon and a Lemongrass Lime Vinaigrette - 9
  • Watermelon Gazpacho with Thai Basil Chilies and Cucumber Coulis - 9
  • Asian Salad with Baby Arugula, Asian Pears, Fennel and a Curry Crusted Chicken Breast with Curried Vinaigrette - 12
  • Seared Tofu Seasoned with Five Spice and Marinated in Mirin and Japanese Aged Sake served with a Kabucha Squash Puree and Carrot & Arugula Salad with a side of house made Kimchi - 11
  • Seared Red Snapper with Tomato and Avocado Salad with Crabmeat and Mango Puree - 10
  • Pad Thai with a Sweet and Sour Tamarind Sauce with a choice of Chicken or Tofu - 13
  • Green Papaya Pad Thai with Fried Green Papaya, Seared Shrimp, Sautéed Tofu, Peanut Sauce and side of Bean Sprouts - 13
  • Thai Volcano Chicken or Portobello Mushroom Marinated in Guajillo, Ancho and a Thai Red Curry Blend, served with Grilled Onions & Peppers and Corn Tortillas - 12
  • Thai Burrito with option of Pork, Chicken, or Sietan with Lime and Cilantro Scented Jasmine Rice, Guacamole and Black Beans - 11
  • Corn Tortilla Taco with Kimchi, Cilantro and a Tomatillo Sauce with choice of Massaman Lamb, Panang Beef, or Kimchi Marinated Sietan - 6
  • Sai Oar Burger with Ground Lamb and Beef Sirloin topped with Fried Onions, Fried Egg, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, and Cheddar. Served with Tomatillo Sauce - 13
  • Mushroom Burger with Traditional Thai Spices served with Lettuce, Tomato, Onion, and a Spicy Sriracha Garlic Aioli - 11
