About a dozen black-clad, bandanna-wearing, bullhorn-toting foie gras protesters showed up outside Washington Square West restaurants Zinc, Caribou Cafe and Valanni last night.
The city is in the final days of Philadelphia Foie Gras Week, during which restaurants are offering $5 foie gras specials.
Police reported no arrests, and it's not clear who these protesters are -- though they seem younger than previous protesters. Nick Cooney, head of the Humane League of Philadelphia (formerly Hugs for Puppies), said his group was not involved. Cooney said his group had turned its attention elsewhere.
